2nd and 3rd GRADE SUMMER
(for
children entering 2nd or 3rd grade in the fall.)
Summer Activities
SUMMER
ACTIVITIES include field trips, theme days, sports activities, computer
lab, and a variety of learning opportunities. Children have several
options and can choose the activities they enjoy, so that all children
do not have to do the same thing at the same time. Children bring
their own lunches. We provide afternoon snack.

|
Field
Trips:
2 or 3 TRIPS PER WEEK ALWAYS OPTIONAL
(All field
trip costs are included in the summer tuition fees.)

|
Previous
trips include:
The Jungle
Bamboola
Twin Lakes (Aptos) State Beach
Giants or As Baseball
Academy of Sciences
Weekly Theme Days (Hawaiian Day,
Carnival Day, Texas Round-Up)
Our own Baseball League with games,
play-offs, awards.
Weekly Swimming and Roller Skating
For skating trips we rent the entire rink, and older children
help younger children with their shoe skates, so children do not
need to know how to skate in order to participate. We also limit
depth of water children may enter when swimming, so they can enjoy
the lake or pool (closely supervised) even if they do not swim.
THE
ONE ALL DAY FIELD TRIP EACH WEEK IS ON WEDNESDAY 9:00 4:00.
